2019 valley favorites

C & C Sensations in Waynesboro has been under its current ownership for 23 years. To become the 2019 Valley Favorite florist, they hold their work to high expectations and treat customers like family. Jean Clark, of Lyndhurst, and her husband bought the business in 1996 from a friend. Clark decided to take this step after retiring from DuPont. C & C Sensations is a florist. They also have tanning and gifts. From happy occasions to sad ones, they’ve got the floral arrangements covered. “We treat people like family,” Clark said. “People come in and talk and visit. We laugh, we cry and we pray with them. Death feels like it’s one of our own. Weddings feel like we’re celebrating our own.” Clark added that a lot of customers call her Mom Jean and Grandma. Not only do they treat customers like family, but it is also a family-run business. Clark’s granddaughter, Jessica Hall, of Waynesboro, is the store manager. “I like doing the weddings and getting to know the people you’re doing all of this for,” Hall said. “We treat the arrangements like something that we would send ourselves.” This year, the business was voted News Virginian Valley Favorite florist. “It’s nice to know that our customers think that much of us,” Clark said. “They appreciate what we do and we appreciate our customers.”
