CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Charlottesville Parks & Recreation announces the cancellation of Farmers in the Park scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, at Pen Park due to ongoing rainfall expected from Monday evening through Thursday.
The anticipated accumulation of rain is expected to result in saturated and muddy park grounds, creating challenging conditions for vendor setup, customer access, and safe operation of the market. Out of consideration for the safety of our vendors, customers, and staff, the market will not take place this Wednesday. Customers who have purchased CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares should contact their CSA provider directly for information about alternate pickup arrangements.
